During the first ultrasound, the sonographer does not show very reassuring. It announces a near certainty of trisomy 21, to be confirmed by another examination. Then, she adds: "Anyway, you are young, you will have others!"


A few days later, I am having amniocentesis. The team is at the top, I feel no pain! Fifteen days pass, the gynecologist calls me to meet quickly. I have a very bad feeling ... My husband and I can not wait. The same evening, we call the doctor to find out what is happening. After much insistence, he ends up telling us the terrible news: our child is well endowed with trisomy 21.

We make an appointment to discuss the rest. He is very attentive, explains the various possibilities available to us, including the termination of pregnancy. On our side, the choice is already made.

Our request for IMG must be validated by a commission. Unfortunately, we are in the middle of summer and many doctors are on leave. The procedure is delayed.
